The first south wind

Although is still very warm in Rhodes (29C), its pretty obvious that the summer has left us behind. Actually, the first southern strong wind arrived, yesterday. No problem for us though, as we just had to drive 20 min away from Kremasti and have a nice kitesurfing session. We went on Faliraki beach, which is on the south east part of the island. The wind was strong and also quite steady with some waves to play with!

However, it didnt last for long and today we woke up with our favorite western summery wind!!

 Yesterday there was no wind here at Kremasti beach,but even these days,when the weather is not helping us for kitesurf,we can find something to do! So we did wake board with the schools jet ski!!!

We are back!!!

Thanks all our friends for the fantastic 4-day wedding,it was just as amazing as we immagined to be! Dellos has described everything nicely in his post!

 

Now we are back to Rhodes for kitesurfing!!!

THE WEDDING

No kitesurfing for me and my friends last weekend as most of us travelled to Kastelorizo (a nearby to Rhodes, island) for nikos' wedding!!!!! Yes, the decision was made and the big event took place last weekend. It was an excellent organized 4-day trip to a very small island, where new and old friends got together. Hence, instead of kitesurfing there was lots of swimming, sun bathing, ouzo drinking and partying. The trip and everybody's mood reached the peak at the spectacular reception on sunday evening, where all of us danced till next morning.

A nice windy day!!!

It was a very good kitesurfing day @ Kremasti beach!!! All kiters were playing with the waves and they had a lot of fun!

Spyros ,manager at Kremasti pro kite center, is drinking his frappe,after a very good kite session with his 7m kite and his nomad surfboard!

Alex had problems again with his kite...-"You must buy a new one mate!"

North-west wind @ Kremasti beach-Air Riders

Today the wind was like the winter,north-west, and you could kitesurfing almost parallel with the coast! Everyone had a lot of fun in the water! Tomorrow the wind will be stronger,windguru's forecast is about 22-26 knots,with bigger waves. Very good conditions for small size kite and surfboard!!!
